ABOUT THIS DESIGN:

This Tee shirt was inspired by my travels to Costa Rica in 2016. Seeing a three toed Sloth hanging upside down in a tree that was growing out of sand on a tropical beach was unforgettable. The Sloth, for me (and I'm sure many would agree), is the spirit of the Trees in animal form. My intention for this drawing was to create an intergalactic Sloth capable of inner stellar space travel, and also a homely image that encapsulates the aesthetic beauty of trees. The Slothstronaut was born! This astronaut sloth is a Terra Former! He grows tree seeds in his back pack on the strap, if you look close you can see the little sprouts in the capsules. This Slothstronaut is inspecting his work on a new extraterrestrial landscape. The Pyramids in the background are the space ships that he rode in on. He uses the antennae on his back pack to beam in and out to check up on his work and make sure the fresh land is growing habitat for all the variety of species that depend on the rainforests.

What is tone on tone printing?

• Printing using tone on tone inks creates a design that is the same color of the garment, but a darker tone.

Does it look good printed on any garment color?

• Tone on Tone prints turn out the great with all garments unless they are extremely dark colors.

Why does the design look grey on really light colored fabrics?

• Tone on Tone ink is made by adding a small amount of grey pigment to a clear base. For example if the garment color is very light, like a soft pink or light blue, it may appear more grey (rather than blue or pink).

How do I know if the garment was printed in the Tone on Tone style?

• Beneath the garment Color Options - will read Ink Color: Tone on Tone.
• Additionally this will be designated in the Description Tab, under Ink Color: Tone on Tone.
