Us Versus Them

Our mission to enhance well being through wholly organic clothing in an industry of liars

Dedicated to those who truly appreciate Nature

These days, it seems like every brand is "eco-friendly." When actually, many of these companies are using the exact same materials found in Fast Fashion Brands and the Worst Plastic Polluting Industries in the World.

Sacred Geometrix has spent over a decade making organic clothing, without having to damage the environment in the process.

Unfortunately, as you will discover below, this appears to be far from the norm.

As the demand for "sustainable" and "eco-friendly" products have increased, so has the frequency of companies attempting to attach their brand to this important environmental movement - in order to sell more product.

However, instead choosing to re-design how their products are made, they opt to slap on a "eco-friendly" label onto products that don't deserve the honor.

This diminishes what these words mean, and how people should value them.

Lets take a closer look at these problems, and the oversights to human health we still face as consumers - even in an industry claiming it's for our good.

For Example

We've highlighted the statement in this advertisement, "thinking sustainably."

Thinking sustainably seems like a good thing, but when you take a moment, you realize this statement doesn't hold water (pun intended).

How is is the quality standards of this product elevated by the company simply "thinking sustainably?"

This is a non-statement, and a key word filled claim that doesn't require any real world action.

We deserve companies that are not just "thinking sustainably" but "Doing Sustainably."

We made this page for the people tired of encountering "eco-friendly" companies, revealing 5 clicks later out it uses the same polyester used in everything else.

This page is about solving the problems in the "sustainable and eco-friendly" clothing industry that has been infiltrated by cheap micro plastics, misleading branding tactics and poor organic certification practices.

This page is for those who are earnestly trying to make informed decisions for their family's health and well being.

The Top 3 Problems in the Sustainable Clothing Industry

1. Sustainability doesn't mean its safe for your health.

2. Companies hide truths and mislead consumers on material contents.

3. Recent changes to organic certifications have serious flaws in the fine print.

1. "Eco-friendly" doesn't include Your Health

Recycled Polyester is "eco-friendly" but its not biologically friendly. Microplastics cause adverse health effects to humans and animals.

2. No Laws Prohibit Misleading Claims

A lot of Compnays mislead shoppers to make their products seem more responsibly made then they really are.

3. Certifications have Fine Print

The top Global Organic Textile Standard ( GOTS) label can be put onto garments that have up 30% non-organic material.

Problem 1. Sustainable Doesn't Mean its Healthy for You

Lets look at how "eco-friendly" can still neglect the most important factor of all - your health.

"Eco-friendly" Recycled Polyester

Is Recycled Polyester better then virgin polyester?

Recycled polyester is made from materials that would have otherwise been sent to landfill. So, In terms of the impacts on the environment, yes.

However, in terms of your health, recycled polyester has the exact same adverse effects on your body as virgin polyester.

Microfiber materials like Polyester fleece, Sherpa, and plush or faux furs become air borne, and these microplastics are then inhaled.

While recycling is important, in terms of our health, we have to understand "eco-friendly" products do not mean they're "bio-friendly."

Micro-plastics in plain sight

Ever look at the right angle as light pours into a room, and you catch a glimpse of all the tiny particles that are everywhere?

The light changes, but the content of the air didn't.

Common household products, and even your favorite "eco-friendly products" still may contain endocrine disrupting chemicals.

Our Solution for Problem 1

Other "sustainable" brands are choosing to address environmental concerns but fail at addressing biological concerns.

At Sacred Geometrix we have a simple solution, create products beneficial for humans and the environment.

We do not compromise.

We do not mislead.

We do not blend plastics into organic fabric.

Do not use virgin or recycled polyesters.

We do not use phthalate containing chemicals.

We use fabrics that are mutually beneficial for the health of your skin and and the earth's skin.

This picture is our 100% organic cotton Sherpa. We don't need to blend 3% elastane into it. Its already flawless. And it definitely does not need to be made from a recycled polyester.

Problem 2. Wolves Hiding in Faux Fur

Companies using nature and the outdoors in their branding yet use toxic waterproofing chemicals and Phthalates poisoning the very environment they claim to care about - all while they mislead their customers.

2. Virgin polyester mixed with recycled polyester, cotton, and organic cotton?!?

This company is blending virgin polyester into their "organic product."

This polyester fabric isn't recycled - This fabric is no more "sustainable" than any other plastic material used from every other conventional company - because it is the same fabric.

This "Organic Cotton" jacket is made from 4 materials, yet 3 of those are non-organic, and 2 are virgin polyester.

More then half of the product is made with petroleum based virgin polyester fabric, and another quarter is made with conventional cotton.

Should this product be able to claim it is Organic?

It's not your fault, they are intentionally misleading you

The content of these garments hide deep in collapsible tabs, while we are spammed with sustainable keywords.

Lets look take a closer look at what these companies put us up against, and what we have to do to find the truth.

Our Solution for Problem 2

Most other brands hide their garments material contents inside collapsed tabs making it difficult to find what it's made of.

At Sacred Geometrix we have a simple solution: show our garments material content in the product description tab, thats always visible - no clicks needed.

We do not hide the contents of our products, because we are proud of what they are made of.

Problem 3. Organic Certifications Have Fine Print

The newest GOTS rules allow for up to 30% non-organic material

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)

What is GOTS?

GOTS is the world’s leading certification for textiles made from organic fibers. It has set the most rigorous environmental and social standards for the entire supply chain—from the harvesting of raw materials to manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trading, and distribution.

How GOTS Makes clothing Safer for Consumers:

1. Restricts Use of Harmful Chemicals like pesticides, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and toxic dyes.

2. Offers 2 grades of organic certifications available: 1 requiring at least 70%, and the other requiring at least 95% of the fibers to be organically grown.

3. Protects the Environment using strict wastewater treatment protocols and emission standards.

4. Strengthens Workers Rights including fair wages and improves working conditions, prohibiting child labor.

5. Regularly conducts inspections by independent, third party auditors to ensure standards are upheld.

Read the Labels

GOTS is doing everything it can to take an industry that is plagued with poor working conditions and toxic chemicals and showing how things can be done better.

GOTS is the best in the world at what they do and the standards that they set.

However due to changes in the new GOTS Version 7.0 a product can be labeled as "Made with Organic" and may still contain up to 30% of non-organic materials, including recycled polyester.

So its important even when you see the a GOTS tag on a garment to still read the contents.

Our Solution for Problem 3

While other brands blend in plastics, we are pure.

While other brands hide their true contents, we are transparent.

While other brands get certified at 70%, we keep it 100%

While other brands fail at being standard - we've raised the bar into a class all our own.

Wholly Organic Clothing - Made in USA.

So now when you see our logo you'll know the contents of what's inside. So all thats left is to is learn how its made.
